More and more television shows seem to be getting cancelled after amassing a strong fanbase, with these fans campaigning to save their favourite shows.
LUCIFER

Lucifer began airing on FOX during 2016, but was cancelled after its third season. Shortly after the cancellation, fans began to take to social media and trended hashtags to show their support of the show. This led to the show’s creators hunting for another home for the show, with Netflix officially renewing it for another three seasons.
STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES
Star Trek: The Original Series was one of the first shows to ever be saved through a fan campaign, with fan support leading to the show getting one final season on NBC. There was another campaign for a fourth season, but it was unsuccessful. However, it sowed the groundwork for Star Trek: The Animated Series, the later six films featuring that cast and all Star Trek shows and films that we have seen since.
WARRIOR NUN

Warrior Nun is a fantasy television show, based on comics, which aired for two seasons before being cancelled by Netflix in December 2022. Fans continuously campaigned for the show to be renewed, partly due to its positive queer representation, and it was revived for a trilogy of films in August 2023.
